Laurie Mrva on “Behavioral Coaching”
Coaching and the Use of Behavioral Assessments
How can you figure out how to get somewhere if you don’t know where you are?
Those of us working in the human performance field can use scientifically validated assessments, which evaluate a person’s abilities, interests and behaviors. Performance can be enhanced by using these assessments to improve job fit, build effective teams, and coach for different areas of development.
Once a person’s competencies are evaluated, targeted exercises and conversations with a coach can help an individual to improve their ability in the specific area. Coaches help an individual to develop and to become an even better performer. Allowing a person to reflect and learn from activities will enhance their retention and probability of implementation and development.
Laurie will share ideas for improving the effectiveness of managers by identifying critical areas of development and coaching them to the next level of success.
